The flames go off hourly on the hour, though double-check since timing sometimes shifts earlier either way. Gorgeous stretch of Melbourne right along the water. Cross Kings bridge, watch from a Crown balcony up close, or simply stroll the beautiful riverside path. An essential stop on any Melbourne trip.
We’d hesitated to book here since the place always appears packed. Eventually took the plunge for a midweek overnight — and it paid off. The hotel stayed peaceful throughout. Our room was gorgeous, roomy and immaculate, with a fully stocked bar. USB ports and power points sat exactly where needed. Televisions in both the bedroom and bathroom (facing the tub, no less). Toilet and shower each had their own separate space. Breakfast was fresh, delicious and varied, and eating beside that waterfront outlook topped everything off beautifully.
Always gamble responsibly and within your budget. Bigger bets don’t improve your chances one bit — over time the house edge always wins out. Only stake what losing won’t hurt. Support lines exist if gambling ever becomes a problem. That said, Crown Melbourne gave us a fun outing. Jackpot machine returns seemed reasonably fair. Tables include blackjack plus (the dealer pushes on 22) along with 3 card poker running $25 antes.
