Beautiful venue with a fantastic energy about it. Other Australian casinos we’d visited seemed dead, whereas this one was genuinely humming. Both the workers and fellow punters we chatted to were lovely and quick to help. Dealers clearly understood every game on their tables, and the range of pokies was enormous.
Nice energy but nowhere near enough open tables when things get busy. Sadly the dealers come across either too casual or under-trained… sloppy dealing, payouts frequently wrong, mix-ups with cards and who actually won. Credit where due though — their freebet blackjack offers some of the best odds anywhere in the country! Bars and the cocktail list were decent enough.
The machines are wound back so tight that playing them is a waste of time, which likely explains the empty floor. Fed $800 through and landed one solitary feature — it returned precisely nothing. Walked out. Came back the following evening figuring lightning couldn’t strike twice. Another $600 gone, two features this round. Both delivered zero. The venue sat about 80% deserted. Not a winner in sight, just grumbling, fed-up punters everywhere. If Adelaide’s on your itinerary like it was ours, soak up the gorgeous city and the incredible food scene — it’s a lovely relaxed town. Just steer clear of the casino, it’s laughable.
